Her articles have also appeared in Kitschykoo, Gonzo, Swerve, and Prairie Fire, as well as one spectacularly bad poem in Alberta Views.

Barbara Dacks was the owner, publisher and editor of Legacy, Alberta's magazine for new heritage, arts and culture. She has been a writer, editor and broadcaster in Alberta for over 30 years. She's written non-fiction for Maclean's, America West, Western Living and others; fiction for Other Voices and CKUA Radio. She was a news reporter for CBC Radio, an interviewer for CKUA, and has taught non-fiction and creative writing.

She is the former editor of the Wild Lands Advocate and her academic editing has covered a wide range of topics. Mifi has edited a number of titles, including general health, food, teen mental health and heavy equipment.
