Template How-to Guide

Template is AMPA’s popular guide to magazine publishing, and was created as a resource for those interested in starting a magazine, as well as those already firmly entrenched in the magazine industry: editors, art directors, freelancers, publishers, sales representatives, printers, distributors…and everyone else. AMPA has two versions of the guide: Template 2002, the original guide to becoming a magazine success, and Template 2006, which updates a few topics and covers a wealth of new material.  As a new initiative, AMPA has launched Tiny Template 2009, The Law Edition.

The guide is distributed to post-secondary journalism and publishing programs nationwide, and to all AMPA members. Template 2002 and 2006 and Tiny Template 2009 are also for sale to the public. To order a print copy, send a cheque to:
